When to take your child to the dentist

Typically, the best time to take your child to his/her first dental visit is usually by the age of 18 to 24 months. Dentists recommend that you wait no longer than 2 years because dental problems may arise even at this early age.

Children in this stage of life are prone to baby bottle syndrome, thumb-sucking and the like. A dentist can provide a comprehensive program for this type of patient – even at this young age.
